We awoke in the morning feeling great! Top 5 best spots we've stealth camped so far! Unfortunately, Brian had a flat. Stan's has not been doing such a great job.
We hit the road pretty early. We were eager to get a start on the day because we only had 40 or so miles to ride into Roswell - Alien Capital, USA.
The first so many miles of the ride were fantastic. We were making great time. Then, the wind came rolling in. Right in our faces. We were cruising along at a pace 50% slower than normal. Maybe more. With 20 miles to go, it would be a long time before we got into town at the rate we were going.
Being Halloween, I was happy to see some pumpkins and decorations along the way.

There were plenty of lots in New Mexico with "junked" classic cars. This lot here had a '56 Chevy station wagon that seemed to be in great condition. The difference between the condition of cars here that have been sitting in lots for years, and cars in the north east is outstanding.
We made it into Roswell!
Now began the hunt to find a hotel room for the night. We first stopped at a Days Inn and were given their lowest quote.
We skipped around from hotel to hotel trying to find the best deal. The last hotel we tries was a Best Western. I used my smooth talking skills and got us a room for more than 50% off!
The room was very nice. I was excited to have somewhere to relax.
We showered and rode up to a local grocery store where I got everything I would need for a wonderful Halloween:
Candy:
And Beer:
I got Pumpkick - delicious!
We laid in our beds and got sick off of too much candy and just enough beer. It was time to celebrate Halloween so we suited up in our costumes and hit the town.
BIGGEST HALLOWEEN DISAPPOINTMENT EVER!
There was nothing going on. The streets were dead. The most exciting thing that night was seeing this:

Roswell, I expected more from you.
