It was a lazy morning in Roswell when we woke up. We stumbled over to the breakfast buffet and I proceeded to the hot tub after filling my stomach to dangerous levels.
After we checked out of the hotel room, we weren't sure what we ought to do for the rest of the day. We decided on sitting outside the grocery store and eating candy. That seemed like a good option.
After that grew old, we left to go to the Post Office to send our Halloween costumes back home.
Brian had left his shoes somewhere so I stayed at a church, laying in the grass and looking up at this:
We went to a local movie theater to watch Captain Phillips, which was amazing. Afterwards, we stopped by a Pizza Hut to see if they had any spare pizza that they wouldn't mind tossing our way. The young lady at the counter said "Hold on a minute!" She left us and returned shortly with two large pizzas. TWO. WITH CHEESEY CRUST! We were thrilled.
We found ourselves a park (which apparently was in a very bad neighborhood with lots of violence and shootings), sat down at a table and munched away on our free meal. It was glorious.
We later directed ourselves toward a fire department nearby. The men there were extremely nice and let us set up our camp beside their station, within a fence to deter thieves. We were invited inside to watch a movie and relax - away from the cold.
If there is one thing that Roswell has, it's kind people.
