Day 62 - Austin, TX

Our original intention for the day was to go to Barton Springs, but that simply didn't happen. Instead, Brian and I drove around in Chris's car and picked up groceries and other items of interest that we felt we needed on our trip - most notably, pancake mix and syrup. When we got back, went for a run and later we played some cornhole with Chris and got our behinds handed to us. I managed to beat Brian, but that was my only triumph. We drank beers and ate starburst - all in all, a very good time. Soon enough, it was time for us to get ready to hit the town. We got dressed very fancy-like (button down shirts and jeans!) and arrived at the at the Congress St. bridge to watch 1.5 million bats fly out from underneath it. Even though it was raining, it was still quite the spectacle. Spikey Cactus (or something like that) for dinner. The food was great. Being Friday night, we had to experience the nightlife of Austin while we were there, so we hit the bars.

We drove a little ways down the road to the Spikey Cactus (or something like that) for dinner. The food was great. Being Friday night, we had to experience the nightlife of Austin while we were there, so we hit the bars. I won;t fill you in on all the inappropriate stuff we did that night, but here are some pictures to entertain you.
